Also ... the results post at VIA is on a earlier 9700 driver version.
And... IF I had known the VIA drivers were out. I would have installed them 1st before the new driver release for the 9700.
(I didnt know until after my 9700 drivers were installed)
When I installed them on a Epox 8K9A2+, Ti4200 I went from 11,5** to 9,9**, I reinstalled them and went to 11,7**, Something didn't go right the first time
For the record, I installed these drivers on my KT333 board and did my usual UT/WinZip compression benchmark, which would reveal mostly whether it's improved the PCI/IDE performance. The compression was a couple seconds longer, out of a total of about 3 minutes, so no real change for my rig in that area.
