Via 4.28 and Nero

Since I've installed the win2k ATA Busmaster driver I can't get any version of Nero to start burning a CD. ASPI is installed find, cdrwin works. But when I burn with Nero I get a "cannot burn at this speed" error, even if I'm using 1x as my speed. I have a Plextor 12/10/32 and using 12x imation media.

Downgrade to 4.25a.

Are your IDE drives listed as SCSI? There seems to be as issue with the via driver. Just install via 4.28 without the busmaster driver and you should be ok.

the busmaster driver screws w/ dvds and burners. uninstall it completely to get it to work, or going to an older version may work as well (although that i haven't tried).
