VIA 4.25a is out!!!

My 4.24 drivers are rock solid on my MSI K7T PRO so I will not bother upgrading yet just waiting for the Nvidia 6.20 drivers which will fix the problems with KT133 Chipsets .

🙂

Hardware, you make me sick.

Why wouldnt you use them?

These 4.25s are real. Download here.

Edit Damn, these new featuers are making me confuse. The html stuff is messed up.

I'v eused the new 4-1 for day now and haven't noticed any difference.

though i've heard that it fixed some DMA problems so that some devieces will acctually use DMA.

im too lazy to benchmark for HD and cd perforamace.

They are still not at Via's yet, last time with the 4.24, it wasn't mentioned, but still there on thier server, are these official, if not, I think I am going to wait until it appeares HERE

I'm always up for new things. I'm gonna run some tests and see how the new driver is. I'll post my results shortly...

Well I upgraded my 4.17 driver to the 4.25 driver and i recieved a decent increase in 3dmarks

5326 3dmarks 4.17
5370 3dmarks 4.25a

and On quake3 High quality 1024x768
it stayed the same at 59.3 fps

I should have done the test at 800x600, then I'd probably see a difference.

Any of you think I could get higher if I had the 4.24 driver? Or should I try it and find out...

AMB: They arent official, but they're FINAL, which means they're exactly the same as the real one. This is how it was done, VIA gave their 4.25s to the mobo manufacturers before releasing it to the public(just like why the OEMs get WinME before we do). And one of the manufacturers, Soltek, released the 4-in-1s before VIA did, which I assume was unpermitted to do.

...guy posts a message with his fist link, and everyone flames him...rude people 🙁

...I thought school was back in session, no?

Just tried the new ones (4.25a) they seem ok.Played a 3d game "Tachyon the Fringe" works fine so far stable as before.
