What is the best vhs to dvd recorder out there. It doesnt nessecarily have to have an hdd but had to be the best out there for quality idc about price.
Look into this canopus box to convert the signal to Firewire. Purchase Nero 8 and do a live capture using full blown AVI (will create a really big file). After that, you can also use Nero to author a DVD out of the captured video.
maybe something like DVDirect® MC5 Multi-Function DVD Recorder. it can be had for less at costco & the return policy is limitless. connect a good VCR up to it via S-video and that should give you a good option.
If you don't need editing, any decent DVD recorder should be fine. To make it "the best" just use the shortest / best of the recording speeds, around 1 - 1.25 hour per disc.
