VHS to DVD box and software

Ive been looking for a way to convert all my old video tapes to CD or a DVD burner when I get one. I think this is a matter for convenience. Id prefer to have 30 cd's to 30 video tapes. Anyway, found this solution at tigerdirect. I have never bought from this company but I am mightily tempted as this product looks like exactly what I need. Is this any good, Is Tigerdirect reputable?

Thanks

Just the fact that that thing is USB based scares me. Here are a couple of sites you might want to check outvcdhelp and virtualdub. I'd get some video capture hardware, for exmaple ATi all-in-wonder, and a DVD burner or CDRW.

yeah, I wouldn't touch anything that's usb 1.1. I have a usb tv tuner and it's suck--not enough bandwidth, too much cpu overhead. I'd look for something in firewire.
