VGA to Laptop LCD (no laptop)

Is it it possible to just get a laptop LCD and somehow configure it so it is just like a VGA monitor? If so, how? I am talking about just a laptop LCD, not connected to a laptop or anything. Thanks.

It is possable, but far from easy

You will need a video card that speaks digital, custom everything (power, video, harnesses....) specs for the LCD you are using (pinouts for the connectors).....

Keep you eyes peeled on the hot deals forum, desktop LCD's go for $300-500
