VGA to DVI-D?

I have a laptop that I'd like to hook up to my TV, which has a DVI-D input. My laptop has a VGA output; is there any way to convert it without spending $200 for a silly converter box?

I would like to know too. There is VGA --> DVI but not the other way around

Unfortunately, this adapter is DVI-I or DVI-A, not DVI-D which I need.

Thanks anyway, though.

(Just in case anyone didn't know, DVI-D does not have the 4 extra pins around the flat one, where DVI-A does)

Hmm... after doing some more research, I just get more negatives. Seems to be impossible without an expensive digitizer. Looks like I'll have to do VGA to S-Video, now just to find one that's compatible.

Edit: AHHH!!! Apparently that's even more expensive! More than $500 for a VGA to RCA/S-video adapter. What the heck. I FAIL

Please let me know if you can help me find an alternate solution to getting my laptop on my TV!
