VGA to Coax converter?

Kelemvor

Lifer
I have my PVR computer that I normally just watch shows on the computer. But I want to output the video to my TV and need a way to do that. Do they make VGA (15 pin) to Coax converter/adaptors? I haven't been able to find any online.

Or would it work better to just get a TV Out card? If so, how does a TV out card and a different video card work together?

THanks.

Confusing questions... does your TV Capture card have a Video out? I've never heard of a VGA to Coax... what kind of inputs does your TV take? Most Video Outs for computers are RCA or S-Video. If you have an AGP video card (actually what is your setup?) you can buy a cheapy ATI pci card that has a Video out and just use that... windows XP does a decent job out the box of splitting the signal. Other options include any VIVO card or All in Wonder Style card, or a good Capture card that has input and output. Be more specific on your setup and more help can be given 🙂

Edit: Reading comprehension strikes again... you want to connect your TV directly to your VGA connector on your computer? no you cannot do that, the signals are not compatible, unless you have a HD TV that has a 15pin vga connector or DVI connector... in which case yes you can, and they sell VGA -> DVI converters. See Above for suggestions 🙂

I seem to recall seeing a box that will take coax or video input and put out VGA signal... I need one. Anybody have or can point me to one?

I've got one in a box somewhere. It's got Coax and RCA inputs, VGA and RCA outputs. I think audio throughput also. Comes with a remote, so you can use your monitor as a TV without having to have a computer.

I don't remember the model#, but I know viewsonic made it
