I was looking on Monoprice.com to try and find some VGA cables for my 360...can't find em there. I googled them though and found the expensive ones that you could find at bestbuy.

My question, is there a place like Monoprice.com (Cheap) that I can buy some VGA or DVI cables for my 360?

since the output connector that goes to the back of the 360 is a proprietary connection you can't just buy generic cables like you can w/the HDMI ones and what not.

there are definitely cheaper solutions out there than buying the first party accessories, howevr they won't be as cheap as the $5 HDMI cables monoprice sells.

I ended up getting the offcial XBOX 360 cables since the reports I read about the 3rd party were not good at all.

Is more $$$$ the only reason M$ did this or is their connection better than like HDMI for ex.?

It's like that so the one connection can be used for SD, HD, and VGA outputs.

I think the MS cable is $40 and it's definitely worth it.

Fair enough, I'll stick with the official MS ones then. I assume they sell these at bestbuy, and not just the aftermarket ones.

They should also sell them at any video game store. I bought mine at a Game Crazy, they had like 5 or 6 on the rack at the time.

Better than HDMI? no. VGA is the only way to get 1080p for movies on the core and premium models though.

BTW, if used isn't an issue, ebay has it. I have bought from this place several times, and they are excellent.

Holy crap that looks like a good bargain...I'm orderin.

I got mine from Amazon's used section. Only about $17 shipped.

I love it BTW. Works great.

I've been using some Mad Catz component cables that have connectors for the Xbox, the 360, and the PS2. My 360 gives me the option to run 1080P, which I have been...

Are you sure you need the VGA cable to run 1080P?

It's the only way to get DVD upscaling.
