VGA cooling, AC and zero therm

Got an xfx 9800GT 2 months ago, it's idling at 74C and loads at 80C. And I know the tolerances for video cards are about 85C and shut down occurs at 90-100C BUT my temps are to close to comfort. Not to mention I want to go SLI soon and the temps now increase my case and cpu temps considerably at just idle.

So I want to get an aftermarket cooler, I had a zalman vf900 which I liked but unfortunately sold it with my 7800gt. I would like to spend under $25 and I've been looked at the Arctic Cooling Accelero X1 and S2. They're both $20 on newegg now and people give them good reviews. I'm not sure about either though because it seems to be hit or miss whether the X1 will fit the 9800GT seeming alot of the card brands build their a little different. And it seems to me that the S2 might be a bit on the heavy side AND I wouldn't want to add a 120MM fan in there because it'd be cramped with SLI. The S2 seems to be everyones favorite cooler and if I could get away with using it passive it'd be great. I have had some bad luck with passive coolers though. Replaced my Nforce4 chipset cooler for a passive zalman and had BSOD's all over the place, put a swiftech water block on and it hasn't given me trouble.

I also looked at the ZeroTherm GX810 cooler which seems to be pretty near a zalman design. AND it's only $4.99 on newegg after rebate with something like $5 for shipping.

Frankly I'm not so sure what to get, if you guys think my 9800gt could take the weight of the Accelero S2 and if it could be passively cooled with overclock potential than please chime in. And if anyone has a zalman VF900, zerotherm VGA cooler, or AC cooler and want to sell it for relatively cheap let me know.

Any other suggestions are welcome

Oh ya and I forgot my asus board has the crappiest chipset placement, right under the primary video card. So the water tubing runs directly under the capacitors on my card so I don't think the Accelero S2 would fit right for the primary card.
