The problem is with my ATI RAdeon 9250. I am prety sure it is the BIOS who is problematic.
But i can not find any vga bios version for that vga card. Does anyone have it or maybe a link from where i can download it?

The model is this: Giga-Byte GV-R925128DE

Help please...

Ummm? You can get a dozen of those for maybe $100 as OEMs, they are so outdated and cheap. Why are you wasting time with such a terrible Crackerjacks prize tin whistle toy of a video card? Halfway decent cards are currently available for maybe $45-50 with only a modicum of online shopping.

Are you crazy? Do you know how much is 55,90$ here where i live?

If i ask for a solution that means that i can not throw to waste 55$. So if you can help me OK, if not please do not post this kind of posts. OK?

Maybe you should rather ask us to help you with your PROBLEM, rather than help with what you /think/ is the solution ... particularly since your idea most certainly isn't.

So, what's the problem then?

Why do you even suspect it's the bios on the card that is the problem?

I've never seen a low end card with a 'bios' issue in all the years of working on pc's and i'm sure you won't be the first.

I'll bet your problem is something else as in a bad video card or something wrong with your system.

Try telling us what your symptoms are and then maybe you'll get some answers.

OK. So it is like this.

The vertical ammount of pixels is fixed to lets say 400.
So when i boot the computer i always get this resolutions 1024x400 or 800x400 or 1600x400.
It is the vga card and not the system or the monitor. I tried on many computers and the monitors. except this there doesn't seem to have other problem. I tested the card with 3dMark 2003 and it works fine.

That's why i think it is the bios.

Anyone have an idea?

Have you pulled the card from some special application machine, or is it retail bought?

How do you "get" this resolution? Are you not being offered any others, not even in the "List all modes" feature (after unchecking "Hide modes this monitor cannot display, of course)? If they're offered, then it's not the card's BIOS.

Either way, the only ones to be able to help you with the right bios for the card would be Gigabyte, obviously.

Actualy i am offered the normal resolutions and refresh rates. I am telling you everything is OK with the system. When i insert an identical vga card everything is fine.

The card is a retail card. I will try and ask Gigabyte for help...

Thanks anyway :)
