VF700 users!

thermalright V1=

Well anyways on my 6800 GT with the stock cooler my max OC was around 415-20 depending on the temperature. V1 max OC=445, stable=440. Also 20C cooler!

I used to only be able to get 550/1175. Now I run 600/1200 no problem but anything higher and I get artifacts. I just bought a Lian Li V COOL PC-V1000APLUS to see if I can get my case temps down. Right now when I stress my card my case temps jump to nearly 44C so cooling is hindered (I have 6 case fans not including my 7000B-Cu, VF700-Cu, and the 80mm and 120mm on my PSU)

very nice Nate! im jus testing temps on my leadtek 6800GT and its just as well i ordered something......80degrees underload right now, and juding by the ambient temp (i have a temp sensor on my P160 and ive placed it perfectly to just about match the ambient temp reading in the NV control panel) BF2 makes it get even hotter!

My old 9800p, flashed to xt bios:

412/365 (xt speeds), stock cooling = mad artifacts
445/375, vf700 = cool and fast

My current x800 is limited by lack of voltage on the oc, so it runs 440 core on both coolers but the temps are way better:

stock cooler, somewhat loud fan = 80C
vf700, much quieter = 57C

liking what im reading looks like i made a good choice. the thermalright V1 looks well nice but looking at american prices it looks like its going to be 10 more expensive

um, why?!
VF700-Cu w/AS5 is phenomenal

my Chaintech 6600GT went from:
42/73 @567/1057 with stock HSF

to:
36/51 @~590/1120
at that point, the core is just plain out of voltage. no amount of watercooling, etc., is going to get this card any furthur without a hardmod

I didn't get any higher of an OC out of my 6800GT, but it's LOADS quieter than the BFG heatsink and still quieter and cooler than the NV5 Silencer.

I didn't measure overclock with my 6800 Ultra, but I know that the temperature only dropped by a few degrees with the Zalman at high RPM, and raised 2 C or so with low RPMs. The original eVGA cooler for the Ultra oobviously wasn't that bad after all.

However, the Zalman is super-quiet even at high RPMs and was very well worth the change.
