This is a case manufacturered by a little know company called Avance. They may not be very well known, yet, but I think they will be very well know very shortly. They have some very innovative ideas, and in the case industry, that's something that's hard to come by ;)

Here's an image of the case (unmoddified):
Avance CI-7008 unmoddified

Now, that may not be that impressive, I admit. But it's the features that are yet to be seen that really impress me. First, the case is very well constructed. Good quality metal, and very well assembled. Avance also went for the tool-free design. And they almost got it. The only time you need a screwdriver is to mount the HDD and floppy. The 5.25" drives can use drive rails, and not the usual cheap ones, these are very nicely designed drive rails.

The side panels are removeable with thumb screws. Nothing too innovative there, these just happen to be very high quality stainless steel thumbscrews. There is also a swing out mobo tray. No tools needed here either, because the mobo snaps onto the tray with stainless steel posts, not those cheap plastic ones ;)

Okay, so you're starting to wonder if I'm just talking out my a$$. There hasn't really been anything unique so far, I know ;) But, I'm not done :p Although, high quality parts versus cheaper ones are nice to see, that's not innovative. But, imagine, if you will, being able to mount all your cards, AGP, PCI and ISA without needing any tools.

No, I'm not talking about using thumbscrews, like the Lian-Li cases do. That was a nice thought, when it was done. I don't know about you, but it's hard for me to get my fingers in there to do all that twisting. So, it was a nice thought, but it wasn't that much easier than using a screw driver.

Okay, already. Then what the hell am I talking about?

This is what I'm talking about:

This is not meant to be an advertisement, because I don't care if anyone buys the case. I just thought it was a unique innovation they came up with. But, if you do want to get the case, because of the unique features, you'll need to get it through me, or my partner Pham Computer, because we're the only online retailers for Avance, at this time.

Hi,
It sounds like an advertisement since you mention that you sell it, haha.. I'm not flaming you, anyway, the point of my response. I bought one of the unmodified cases from phamcomputers last month. Its a nice case it was on special for $35 or so, its totally toolless, smart design and very convenient compared to the antec ks188 and ks282 that I have. The toolless thing is amazing though. I thought it was the greater than slice bread. The only problem I had was with the rails for the 5.25 drive. They were confusing and difficult to install, I had them on the cd-rom and tried to slide them into the case but it kept getting stuck, so I just used screws but besides that its an awesome case. They don't sell the case anymore since it is discontinued by the manufacterer so I guess we would have to buy the modified one for $200+, hey. :)
