A Thief in the Night: Veterans? Land Grab
by Jeani DiCarlo

link: The land of our revered Veterans

It's sad if this is true. I'd like to see it substantiated, but the claim itself is not that far fetched. Basically she is saying that Hollywood gets land rented to it for next to nothing cost-wise. The land is off limits to veterans, even though it was donated expressly for their use. And in some cases there is substantial property, like whole hospitals, sitting idle because they are considered blighted when there is absolutely no reason other than greed keeping the land out of use for our veterans.

they don't have to be fully functional hospitals for filming. the building could very well be to damaged to actually use as a real hospital.

Then spend the god damned money to fix them. Our veterans deserve more than they get but it seems the Fed and States like CA would rather give money out to illegal aliens and welfare babies. This should outrage everyone, but I find no surprise in you trying to rationalize it.

I am a veteran and have tremendous respect for all veterans, especially Vietnam era, and I don't mean to discredit the issue portrayed in this video but I take offense at the end where it says "We call our fellow American's to turn their flag upside down as a sign of distress."

I know!

Under Bush, the Veterans Affairs budget increased more than it ever has. I'd bet it's gone DOWN under Obama.

Do you have anything even remotely interesting to say? You're a terrible troll, you're not funny or witty. If you're going troll at least put some effort into it to make it enjoyable for the rest of us.

Thank you

Actually Bush diverted most of the funds he earmarked for veterans, so they never saw the largest increases in spending. Bush did graciously improve things come election time, but that was too little too late. Obama stopped redirecting the spending from day one which is something my father, a veteran, did notice right away. (btw - He claimed he voted for McCain.)
