Very weird problem with HD5850 and Metro2033

I just upgraded from a 5770 to a 5850 and Metro 2033 is giving me problems. Other games run just fine (the Stalker: Call of Pripyat bench runs at highest settings just fine), but Metro 2033 not only crashes, but gives me a BSOD. Sometimes it happens a few minutes into the game, sometimes right away, sometimes on the menu screen.

It ran fine on my 5770. Not only do I get the BSOD, but I sometimes have trouble booting into normal windows rather than safe mode afterwards. I've tried Catalyst 11.3 and 11.5 drivers, different configurations settings in the game, no dice. My card was initially overclocked, so I thought maybe that was the problem, but the same issue occurs when it is run at stock settings (the card was rock steady even overclocked in Furmark). I'm all out of ideas. Any thoughts?

Win 7
PSU - Antec HCG-620
CPU - Phantom II 920

Are you overclocking anything else in your system?

Did you uninstall your old drivers before swapping the cards?

The BSOD error code should make it pretty clear whether it is driver related or not.

Figured it out. The game didn't like the CPU being overclocked - runs fine with CPU at stock and the card OC'd. I have no idea why, system is completely stable using every other game, Prime 95 and ran Metro fine on an overclocked CPU with a 5770. I think I have enough juice to run everything, the power calculator recommends a 465w PSU. Strange. Thanks for the replies.
