I got a new computer from Dell. I set up Mozilla Thunderbird as my e-mail client. I can send and receive e-mail okay, but cannot send anything with an attachment or forward any e-mail. It gets to 78%, stays there for a bit then says it can't reach my smtp server. I use AVG for antivirus and disabled it's e-mail scanning. The machine came with Macafee, which I uninstalled. I'm also behind a linksys wireless router and tried two different firmware versions and both have the same problem. I made a small .txt file to send as an attachment and this is what the recipient got:
2006/03/16-17:18:48.187 ServerLoaderCOM ImportLocFile() regedit did not finish within the specified time
Any attachment bigger than that won't send at all. My ISP seems to think it's a router problem. Any ideas what's going on here? I'm don't get how I can send and receive e-mail, but not forward or attachments.
Thanks for any help.
