At first I was playing BF2 a 10x7, 4x AA, 16x AF, All Settings High. I was getting 45FPS average which isn't too bad. Then performance started to decrease after a few days and the FPS was in the 20's. So I took of AF. I was getting 45FPS again, but yet again performance went back to the 20's a few days later. So then I took of Dynamic Lights, Dynamic Shadows, and Effects Detail to Low. I was getting a solid 60FPS. Then guess what? I went down to the 20's again. I then changed all Settings to Medium with Dynamic Lights and Dynamic Shadows still Off. I wasn't dropping below 60FPS when guess what? A few days later I was getting in the 20's in FPS again.
So everytime I drop Image Quality settings down to get a solid frame rate, it lasts for a few days, then I'm back to were I was in the beginning. Anybody know WTF is going on?
