Very weak sound from one speaker channel

I've taken delivery of a new 2.1 speaker system today (Acoustic Energy Aego M), but I'm having great problems getting anything but the faintest sound from the right hand satellite. It's not the satellite itself, nor the cable connecting it to the sub as I've swapped both round with the left hand one.

I've got a SB X-Fi sound card, but it's synchronised to the Windows setting of 2/2.1 speakers and my config hasn't changed since my last set of 2.1s (MX5021s which got returned due to a buzzing sub and hising satellites) which didn't have this problem, nor do my old desktop speakers.

Anyone have any ideas as to what I could try before I end up returning this set as faulty too?

When you swapped the two satellites, did both speakers have very low volume from the right channel? If so, assuming that the sound card is OK and the sound settings in Windows are correct, the right channel amp in the sub is probably bad.
