Link to ZZF for $49.99 after rebate

Link to Newegg for $59.99 after rebate

Link to $30 MIR

My experience with Coolermaster PSUs has been nothing but positive. I've used the 450-watt and 550-watt "Real Power" line, and they're rock-solid. In fact, THG shows the RP550 as being one of the most efficient PSUs around.

If you can't wait, MicroCenter and SVC.com both stock this PSU for the same price, but don't have free shipping.

The cheapest price before shipping is at Axiontech at $74.99 - $30 MIR + shipping.

Enjoy!

Edit: 20+4 main power, 4-pin +12v, 3 SATA, 1 PCI-E, lots of molex; 3-year warranty per ZZF.

Don't let the single PCI-E connector scare you. Just get a two molex to one PCI-E adapter (comes with most video cards) and you're good to go. I just wish it came with a 8-pin +12v as well (like the RP550).

nice, if only it was sleeved

JGuru review:

Excellent review by Jonny!
Think I'm going to steer clear of this one though, not comfy with a 500w in 600w labeling.

OMG, I've never read one of his reviews before, but that it friggin' hysterical!

The good news is, he recommends the PSU at a $50 price tag.

I'll have mine by the weekend and confirm or refute his findings (things often change without any indication on the box).

You guys should have seen how rough he was in the draft he sent me.. :D

Save your pennies - there's better power supplies out there, by more honest companies, for not much more $$$.

I saw his emails to Coolermaster, and to the best of my knowledge they never responded after he took them to task for relabeling a 500W PS.

Kinda gutless, eh?

jonnyguru is awesome. I refer people to his ratethebrands page all the time. Maybe a bit dated, but a huge wealth of information.

Going to pass on this rebate, I think I can find a $50 PSU for $50 in the first place.

I would have liked to have seen their facial response while reading his email.

Where are these "ST-500BKP" or the "ST-500BKV" that he talks about so much?

And who is Seventeam?...were are some of their PSU's?

Ok, I froogled "Seventeam" and I see their PSU's, but none of their larger than 500W psu's are under $80...so this deal is pretty hot if you ask me.

Just an update...

I received mine today, and there are some differences from the unit that was reviewed:

It comes with a standard PCI-E lead, as well as a two molex to one PCI-E adapter; and
It has the 20+4 connector, not a 24-pin and then an adapter to 20-pin

Also, in case anyone is looking, it makes a good replacement PSU for the one that comes with an Aspire X-Qpack case. Although it's larger than the included PSU, it's not so long that it interferes with the 5.25" bays at all.

Good to know. I've owned mine for some time but today the stock PSU in my Q-pack decided to emit an awful order and a slight amount of hazy smoke. It is still running as of now but for how long.....
