Hey guys :) I am ssjgoku4ever. I haven't been here in a year! HELLO EVERYONE :)

anyways...

My father runs windows 98 SE I believe. He used OUTLOOK EXPRESS for his e-mail. I think he may have been infected with a VIRUS BECAUSE everytime he opens OUTLOOK EXPRESS, in his inbox, there are sometimes 12-20+ MAIL SYSTEM RETURNED MESSAGES. You know those stupid messages saying your message was undeliverable or whatever, like when you try to send a message to a e-mail address that doesn't exist? SO WHAT CAN I DO TO FIX IT? He is getting very frustrated, so how can I fix this?

THANK YOU.

The most important thing we need to know is, who is your ISP? It personally sounds like either your POP3 and/or SMTP settings are wrong, or mabye something wrong with your ISP email account. Doesn't sound like a virus to me at all. Give your ISP a quick call to go over your email settings with you, and to run a couple of tests.

If you could, list your ISP and the last half of your email address you are having problems with. Just give us whatever is AFTER the @. Nobody here needs to know your email addy. This will let us know if you are using the email address that most all ISP's give with an account.

For a start, run a virus scan and see if anyhing turns up. I get these messages all the time. Some of them are spam masquerading as returned mail, some are viruses people are sending also masqerading as returned messages.
