Very temporary CPU for new system?

I need a very temporary CPU for a socket 939 motherboard. The motherboard I want says it supports sempron, but as it seems, there arent any for socket 939. Am I missing something?

Cause I see semprons very cheap for other sockets:

It would Very good to get a temporary CPU for cheap, just cause I wouldnt have the money for my full system till December (getting rest of system like, next week). If I get a temporary CPU and Video Card (6200Tc), Id be set for all my other parts. Then, even tho I dont have the money now, when I do, I can save even further and get a 7800GTX or a X2 4200+.

Also, how would a sempron compare to a Intel Celeron (I dont mean to compare AMD to Intel, its just im going from a Celeron system). Thanks🙂

Semprons are S754 only.

If you want a cheap 939 go with the 3000+ Venice core, and in all likely hood you can overclock that chip quite a bit anyways.

Well, soon he said he would have enough for an X2. He needs a CPU now not soon. I still think a 3000+ is a good chip to go for, and it will be plenty of CPU for a while.

ok, thanks for the explanation guys. Maybe, for the time being. Not getting a Audio Card (changed from Audigy 2 ZS to X-Fi Extreme), getting only 1gb Ram, and getting that cheap 6200TC video card. Peace
