This is going to be a shot in the dark because I don't know the version of WordPerfect my client is using and they can't tell me either. From what they told me is that it was not bought to long ago.

But, they where working on a 96 page document they went and saved the document and went to go eat dinner. When the came back to the computer to start working on the document again all they had was 16 pages of the original document. Has anyone heard of a problem like this with WordPerfect and is there anyway to recover the missing parts of the file.

I did find it strange that he said he was at page 16 when he saved the document, but it still should of saved the entire document right?

That's way too hard to nail down, because there are so many things that could have gone wrong, depending on exactly what he was doing.
Two things to check for: The File menu keeps the names of the last few documents opened. See if a previous save is listed there.
Also, check the save directory for backup files.
If it's a recent enough version of WordPerfect, you can try hitting 'undo' to see if you can go back past whatever action wiped out the last 80 pages.
On an off chance, check the Reveal Codes page to see if anything funny is going on (like a hidden page code).
