Very Strange mp3 Problem

Hi, I came across a very weird mp3 issue lately, and figured this was probably the best place to play it.

I've got an mp3 (Kool & the Gang - Heaven at Once) that's around 5 minutes long, but whenever it gets to the same place in the song (around 1:15) it skips to the next track. However, if I move the seeking cue to, say, 2:00 in the song, it plays all the way to the end. In other words, there is 5 minutes of music, but there's something in the file that's making it act weird.

I've tried closing and reopening the player to no avail. Also, the length of the song is 5 min in the "properties" window, so it's not an incorrect tag that's making the player think the song is over. This has never happened to me before, and it's really strange. Any ideas on how to fix it? Do you think it's a player thing, or a problem with the file?

I would guess that the file is corrupt at 1:15. It's a different situation but similar concept to a scratched CD. The rest of the file is good but the data at that point is bad so the player skips when it gets to that spot.

I tried that, but turning it into a wav just makes it into a file that's 1:15 long, and cuts off all the stuff afterwards. Ah well - I guess I'll just have to move the seeker manually whenever I want to listen to it all, haha.
