Very strange mouse pointer issue in games **fixed**

So I was getting poor performance from my mouse so I thought Id dig up my old Logitech G5 corded mouse to try and fix the issue. Installed the logitech software, and when I logged into my game, I couldnt see my mouse pointer. The game was registering it, as when I moved it around I could see the buttons I was highlighting. But I couldnt see the pointer. I uninstalled the software and went back to my old mouse, same issue. Reinstalled software and tried 2 other games...same issue.

What the heck is going on here?

Old mouse: Microsoft laser wireless 5000
Old/newly added mouse: Loigitech G5
Games tried: Rift, Archage, and Guild Wars 2

Other than the games, it works just fine.
