I need a small LCD monitor for a music system I am putting together. Something around 5" to 10" . Do they make monitors this small? I know they have those LCD picture frames and other small screens like that..

edit: I found that they do sell these, but they are very expensive. Does anyone know of reasonably priced mini monitors?

try a lcd tv. you'll likely be limited to component inputs but you can always buy a converter. I think $100-$150 for a 7-10" lcd tv is a very bad deal though, especially when you can get the nokia internet tablet (770, 800 etc.) for not much more. Difficulty with the internet tablet is the lack of a video input so you'd have to use wireless to a computer.

A while back, I was looking for the same thing, a small monitor for my server. Never did find one that was reasonably priced. Everything was either too much money or too much work to adapt it to computer..

I have seen small ibm/unisys displays at used computer part shows. There used to be one in dayton, ohio twice a year but I'm sure they're everywhere. Very reasonable prices but, of course, there's a good chance it won't work or will fail soon. Might need a converter.

Businesses that specialize in point-of-sale systems might be willing to help. Check out the terminals next time you're in a post office.

I just tried googling 7" touch screen lcd monitor and found some for under $150. Most of them don't specify what inputs they have though, just the number of inputs.

Macy's has a 7" DVD player for $120 (regular price $200). It's configured and looks like a PSP, with the disc drive on the back, and it has a video input.

well i kinda moded mine so it looks like this:

There is a prepackaged one. All you need to do is install or you can mod one yourself.

you can buy the LCD's on ebay. There fairly cheap. The shell, you would have to mod, i personally used a lian li side panel from that store and just cut a hole in it.

I use it on my server as a monitor, cuz my server is just a box with nothing attached minus the ethernet cable.

But is this what your looking for?

IF it has something to do with cases, you'll get a faster and more accurate reponse in my section. :p
