Very slow pageloads via wired, but lightning fast over Wifi ? (Linksys e2500)

A recent blackout fried my last router, so I picked up a router on sale at Best buy that was changing locations. It is a Linksys E2500(For $40 bucks I thought it was a good deal).

It seems to be working great for my wifi, lightning fast, no page load issues.
The wired connection is reaaaaally slow for pageloads. It takes about 20 seconds to load most websites. Mostly through the connecting and waiting for response period. Download speeds on the wired are still at the max for my cable modem though, so once it does connect it is fast. My ping in online games is still great. (20-30)

Do any of you know why page loads would be so slow for the wired connection? Is there any setting I can change to fix this?

(I already tried swapping out all the cables :/)

Thanks!

Thats my result. It is pretty speedy once it makes the connection.

However, it seems to take quite a while to make that initial connection when web surfing. For instance it just took 10 seconds to bring up this page once I clicked the "Go advanced" button. 95% of that wait was the connecting. Once it did this page popped up in a split second.

Also, if I disconnect the router, and plug my cable modem straight into the computer, websites load lightning fast. There is no delay for the connecting and waiting for portion.

Ensure that the router's switchport duplex is not manually set. Should always (well, almost always) be auto.

Thanks! I have no idea how to do that though. I checked the router's advanced settings and I couldn't find anything that sounded like that. I am not the most networking savvy.

EDIT! Nevermind! Thanks to you I was digging through the settings looking for what you mentioned. While I was digging I found that parental controls were set to ON by default for the wired computer. Once I turned off parental controls completely it fixed the problem.

Thanks :D

Holy smokes I'm glad I found that option. What a terrible thing to have on by default, look at my after results 0.o
