Very slow bootin in XP home

I'm having really slow boot up on my Windows Xp Home system. It takes about 40+ seconds to load into Windows. Now before you say its my system, I've got a 1.4 Athlon xp and 256 ddr ram. I know teh RAM could use another 256, but I've built other system with the same confgurations, but just 512 ram, and the boot up exceptionally faster. 10 - 15 seconds total! Is there something I've done wrong? I've made sure in Msconfig very few programs are starting up. Thanks for the help.

Well, I just added a 512 mb DDR stick to my motherboard to see if that helped and I got no perforamce increase at all. Boot wise I mean. It is still around 40 seconds. I mean jeez, 768 mb of ram should be good for something heh.
