Very Slow Boot Times

I'm having some very slow boot times here. It takes around 20 minutes just to boot. The slowdown is at a progress bar at the bottom of the screen right before the Windows logo appears.

It's been like this for about a year now, and I've put up with it because I don't reboot my computer very often. But I've gotten interested in overclocking again and it's annoying having to wait ~20 minutes just to start Prime95 and see if my CPU is stable after increasing the VCore by .05. I'm wondering if it's because my boot drive is 5 years old.

OS: Windows XP SP3
Hard Drive: Samsung 250GB Spinpoint (system drive) and a Hitachi 250GB drive I pulled from a defunct laptop
CPU: E5200 @ 3.38 GHz
RAM: 2GB Kingston HyperX
Motherboard: Gigabyte P35-D3SL
Video Card: Radeon HD 4850
