Does it boot ok?

is your monitor cable plugged in properly

i cant even get into safemode.... it doesnt boot up properly... (the screenshot i posted is what i get once i restart my computer) ... and yes, all the cables to my monitor is plugged in correctly (the first thing i checked)...

hmm this is really wierd.... i had it[the computer] off for a couple of hours (with the case wide open), and now it works.... wierd.... but should i still RMA it??

*EDIT* jsut to note, i cleaned my case before i turned it on..... at first it gave the same artifact, but then in the second restart, it was back to normal.... so, should I be worried???

hehe, a similar thing happened to my radeon 9700pro. Of course now it's dead 🙁. It was a gradual death.

too much OC is what did in mine 😛

im thinking about RMA'ing it before my warranty is up (kind of reminds of why i SHOULD HAVE gotten a bfg).... and on another note, i have never oc'ed in this card....

Reseat the card in the slot. I had a Radeon 9500 go weird on me. It had started to pop out of the slot just a wee bit. Shoved the thing back in there, screwed it in, and it hasn't complained since.

If not that, then the poor ah heck's probably dead.

could always just be overheating....maybe HS and fan are coming loose....he said he had his case open for a few hours and it sorted itself then went bad again.....heat is a possibility

yeah i did that, and even cleaned it.... but to no prevail

looks like im gonna have to RMA it....unfortunately i dont have an extra vid card 🙁....

i got another question, this time on RMA... with the new vid card, do i get another one year warranty?? or is it still the warranty from my original copy??

*a little update*

well, got my RMA, and it was indeed my video-card that was causing the problems... now time to run some benchmarks and what not to see if this is a "normal" card.. but yeah, thanks to everyone
