if you have the time, hold either arm straight out in front of you (like you were going to touch your monitor with a straight arm) and see how long it takes for your arm to get tired. seconds, minutes, hours?

you should stop when you arm starts to get tired, not when you can no longer hold it up :D

im interested in knowing the results!

******

sitting in a chair or standing up, arm straight, hand can be in any direction you want.

i define tired, as the muscle starting to burn a little bit, like your feeling some strain to keep your arm up. (ie when it ceases to become all but effortless).

******

this is a serious excercise also, i am honestly curious.

face up/ face down? What are you defining to be tired? Any feel of burn or something?

sitting in a chair or standing up, arm straight, lets say palm down.

i define tired, as the muscle starting to burn a little bit, like your feeling some strain to keep your arm up.

ok... a little bored at work today... :)

Right arm.... about 2m30s

Left arm.... about 1m50s

I'm right handed...so I'm attributing my right arm's extra "staying power" to that.

I basically just pointed at the screen until the muscles just started to "burn".

I held it out for 3 minutes before someone walked by and asked WTF I was doing, so I stopped.

An iteresting exercise is to take a 10 pound weight and hold it like that for as long as you can. It's not as easy as it sounds.

Gymnast training FTW!

Hang upside down on a pull up bar with inversion boots or just wrap your legs around a bar. Now do pull overs with straight arms with 22lbs for each hand. Kicks the sh!t out of your lats, shoulders and upper back.
