Very Scary video card problems

Ok so the other day when I was working on my computer the side panel fell off the desk. Only problem was it has a fan, whose power connector ran to my 9800 pro. Ok, scary but it didn't cause immediate problems.

Then sporadically I would get a message on boot up saying the power connector wasn't connected to the card on boot-up. Sometimes it did this, sometimes it didn't. Just today I checked the power cord that plugs into the card and one of the leads was really hot and had browned the white plastic to a dark brown!

It still works with another power lead but I'm scared that this will continue.

Did I wreck my video card???

How old is it?

My guess is that it will soon burn up (and possibly take something with it) if you don't get it repaired/replaced. If it's still in warranty, it's very possible it will be covered.
Just be honest with the manufacturer and quite often they will honor the warranty.

Probably about a year and a bit since I got it last, I think it was oem, not sure what the warranty was, but it's probably up.
