Hi,

This is a stupid question, but what type of VGA cable to I use to connect a computer to the monitor/TV?

Is it Male to Male or Male to Female?

I just got a new monitor and don't want to make a silly mistake by ordering the wrong type.

Your monitor didn't come with one? I'm pretty sure it's the male to female, but I'm too lazy to look. 🙂
 
It's male to male. Virtually every device comes with the female port (so it accepts a male terminated cable). The only reason you'd ever want a female terminated cable is for extending or splitting a cable run.

Get the male to male.
