i just did this! you need to use a $40 off $200 as well as a pricematch. California has a private comp store named Compu-America who has the DeskJet 970Cxi for $232. Staples has the 970Cse. If you're lucky, staples.com might let you do it. point out that on the HP website, clicking on product info on the Cse version links you to the Cxi version. Then point out that in the description section for Compu-America, it lists Cse.
if nobody will do it, go to the B&M store! thats how i did it. talked to 3 CSRs at 1-800-estaple and they refused....went in store with the printout of the product page showing the printer's price and showing it in stock. then i had to direct them to the HP website to convince them its teh same printer.
after they pricematch to $232, use a $40 off $200 coupon. after taxes, i paid $207.xx.
if you STILL have problems, e-mail me and i will forward you a copy of an e-mail i received from HP saying that the two models are the same printer.
this is a GREAT printer that automatically prints double sided. 2400X1200 dpi is the max resolution. go for it and good luck!
