Hey all,

I am in my third month of running this board in my rig and all has been fine until lately. I am running the overclockers bios 1.06 and have been running at 933mhz on an overclocked Duron 750. When it was a little cooler I was running solid at a gig, but I occasionally had heat related errors so I dropped it down a notch now that its warmer. Ever since I have had the board and chip the cpu has been overclocked and running well. Its permanently unlocked with a defogger kit and the the L7 bridges connected for the default voltage boost. I was running 128 MB PC100 kingston valuram which surprisingly turned out to be cas 2. It has run at 133 with no problems. I just bought another stick of 128 mb ram. This time I bought cas 2 crucial pc133 on the recommendations from members of these forums. The first time I popped it in everything was running great at 2-2-2 at 133 with no problems. The second day everything was cool. I only used the machine both times about 2 hours. Last night and tonight the darn rig wont even post. I look at the Dr. LED and the codes tell me that it locks up while "decompressing bios image to RAM for fast booting" (2 green, 2 red leds). The manual tells me to consult my local vendor which is fine, but I thought I'd start here. At first I felt it was my memory running at 2-2-2 and I thought that my cheap ram was the culprit. I yanked it out and it booted. Then I swapped the locations of the cheap and crucial ram so that the valuram would set the timings at 2-3-3 which it did and ran fine. I reboot and I had problems. Niether ram would boot the machine and only after I cleared CMOS would the thing start again. Last night I rebooted several times and it seemed fine finally. Now I come home from work tonight and its the same thing. I pull the crucial out and nothing. This time I put the 100mhz bus jumper pin back (sets 100-132 and 133-166 options for bus speed etc.) Now I am running underclocked at 700mhz and it boots so what is up?

Is my processor no longer able to run at 133 bus? Is my board damaged because of the ram I was using? Anyone have similar issues or insight. Everything has been fine until I decided to up my memory so I feel that something is wrong here but since neither stick works well anymore I am getting frustrated very fast.

Please help,

Thanks,
