Yep, maybe you should become more aware, gamestop has been doing this for years.

In fact, I used to have a friend who worked at a best buy warehouse. He said most of the games there were opened and resealed just because of rough handling.

Seriously, this is like going to the gas station and yelling "$4.00 FOR Gas! I'M NEVER BUYING GAS HERE AGAIN!!!!" The point you were trying to make is invalid and way to late.

I don't see how that is even remotely the same.

I purchased this game and PAID in advance! Why would I pay for an opened item in advanced?

Honestly blame the thieves for this practice at GameStop, don't scream at the employees and make a scene. I am guessing you are quite young.

I wasn't screaming at the chick, I was raising my voice at the fact that this was going on. The chick even apologized and I said "It's not your fault the store is run this way".

I think she wants the penis in the mouth.....call me crazy.

I took off on my bike and had one more stop to make. BlockBuster. I had to return a couple of blu-rays and wanted to get "Jumper".
Should we expect another rant after you watch that? 😛

I agree--Gamestop's policy is ridiculous, but not illegal IMO.

Of course she apologized; you were yelling and scaring other customers.

You were going to open it in as soon as you got home!

I see no other mention of "Jumper" again in your story. I only pray that you forgot about it and left with only MGS4.

QFT, Jumper is a horrible movie.

Did you bike because your 20 year old Accord got smashed up? Two disasters in a week, it's like God hates you.

No because my 99 Jeep Cherokee could use a rest and I bike everyday after work...

Is that cool with you?

I used to work at GameStop. This is normal practice. If you had been yelling at me while I was working over something so fucking pathetic and stupid, I would have called the cops on your ass. You sound like the typical worst customer ever.

When you return an opened game to gamestop, they take it in the back, put it through the shrinkwrap machine, and sell it as new.

Paranoid much? No they don't. The only thing we shrink wrap were used games we had too many copies of.

rofl, you go ballistic on a minimum wage worker at a GameStop because your precious game doesn't have plastic wrap on it. Then you're a big enough of a dick to GO BACK and yell at the girl again! And I'm the kid.

I don't really see the problem..They open the game...don't use it, and sell it to you as new, because it is unused?

If you didn't like it you could of not bought it.

They didn't damage the game, and you were just going to open it yourself right?

They actually do use it... they allow their employees to check out (new) games and bring them home. But the OP's copy of MGS4 was likely never used.

QFT, when I worked there we weren't allowed to check out high demand/brand new games unless we had about a hundred copies in stock.

I'm not a fan of Gamestop's practices, but hey....they're great for buying used games. You already know someone's fingerprints are all over the games you buy.

Next time, just preorder the thing from another store and continue making threads about it. I bought a "new" game from there yesterday. It too was stored in a sleeve in the big drawer behind the cash register. I think they just do that to keep theft down and still display things on the shelves. Considering how much inventory they have (new & used games for 4-5 different systems between PS2-3, Xbox-360, Cube-Wii, etc) in one little store, I'm impressed.

Who the fuck cares if they opened the shrink wrap? That's how they do it. That's how they always do it. A lot of the game stores do it, this isn't anything new. You DID get a brand new game, quit whining and enjoy the game. Good lord, are you 12 years old?
