Date and Time is set to automatically update from time.apple.com, and is set to auto-adjust based on my location (PST). This works and the time is displayed properly.
On AT, the posts come up as the correct time (ie, if I make a post at 9:03 AM, it displays as 9:03 AM for me).
However, gmail displays GMT. So does facebook. When I type in either chat box and hit enter, the timestamp is GMT. All of my gmail emails have the wrong timestamp as well.
This is ONLY on my MBP. My hackintosh at home displays everything correctly. I can view my inbox on my laptop and have it sitting beside my desktop and the timestamps on the exact same emails are 8 hours apart.
I do not have XP installed on either computer and have never used bootcamp.
I've gone into google calendar and have set the timezone correctly to PST. My quick googling attempts all come up with bootcamp issues. HALP!
edit: the out put of the 'date' command:
n212-52:~ george$ date

Odd. It might be a chrome issue. I started safari up, and it displayed the times correctly in gmail and facebook. I then restarted chrome, and it is now displaying the times correctly, however it will probably switch back as I have noticed this problem for about a week now.
