Intel is getting free positive publicity and hype. Why would they crack down?
What's more remarkable is the guy benchmarking quadcore kentsfield on the extreme forums. Despite the fact his benchmarks show awesome performance, I would think Intel is peeved he did this on the eve of Conroe's launch.

A NDA is a promise/contract so a violation, even to reveal good information, is still a violation. You don't want to set a precedent by being flexible in enforcement. Otherwise you should just get rid of the NDAs.
As a consumer, I don't like NDAs; I want my information now not later. So I don't care that these Core 2 Duo figures are available on that French site but I just wonder how they can get away with it whereas Anand has to withhold data for another 3 weeks.
Actually, it appears AMD is the one most screwed by these early Core benches; why would you buy an expensive FX chip now?

Well, the French have been known to thumb their noses at others so maybe they dont care what Intel says? Or maybe due to them being in Europe different rules apply and they can legally do it without fear of Intel's wrath? For all we know Intel may have given them a nod to release the info as a PR play. Right now my main concern is that the tests were acurate and honest. Not saying they arent but I been trying to keep a wait and see attitude about a finished product before deciding wether Intel has a winner finally. As more and more info is slowly leaked out it though it sure looks bright for Intel and Conroe.

on the other hand it probably is in Intels own interest that benches and numbers are leaking, at least its cheap ad for their product.
