Very important multi-output gfx card question

Hey guys,

I have a situation at work where I will need to project 1 image that has a resolution of 5429X1080 split up 4 ways going to 4 projectors to send it to a syke that is 15'X75'.

I'm wondering what would be the best solution card for my needs. At present I have a computer using dfi expert mobo, 4400+ amd processor, and a 7950 1 gig video card.

If I upgrade to 2 7950's will it support 4 screen outputs? or do I need to go with something like a quadro.

Any experts in this field giving input would be very much appreciated. Show date is Oct. 9th so need to figure this out fairly quickly.

You don't want 7950s, if it doesn't need massive real time performance then two of the lowest end cards with dual DVI would be sufficent.

This is for a business conference. I'm doing wide screen high-def switching bringing in and out HD videos, powerpoint, and I-MAG through transitional PiPs using the folsom encore system.

We just wanted to have a background of the Colorado mountains (since its a travel and tourism gov conference) to be always up while PiPs move in and out of the screen.

I understand the 7950's are overkill for what i'm asking, but it wasnt the question. Questions is if I got a second one (which is the reason for getting 7950's..I already have one and another 550 for another really isnt much in cost) would I:

1) be able to SLI them using the DFi-Expert board and

2) In Sli mode could I use all 4 dvi-outs and set it do expand the desktop 4 ways.

Or would I need a special card to do this, like the quadro.

I don't think you could run them in SLI and get 4 outputs, but you could use 2 of them seperately to do it (i think).

Then once it's over, you have quad SLI. Let's face it, you could use your current 7950GX2 and a second cheaper card for it just as easily somehow i suspect you've got ulteriour motives (i damned well would).

what do you mean by use 2 of them separately? You mean without using the sli bridge? didn't know that was possible.

Sure, I wouldn't mind getting a second one especially if the company pays for it, but I first and foremost have to get the job done.

What exactly will accomplish the job i'm looking to do? Does anyone on the forums know?
