Wow, it even includes an RS232 cable! That sounds really hi-tech ;-)

Salute to the senior member,

Nice find! However, I once posted this deal about two months ago when there was $20 off $50 around, and I really jumped on that deal!

Well, as the owner of this L-350 camera for awhile. I am not satisfy with $40.00 (what I paid that time with free shipping as usual from overstock.com) I paid for. The quality of the photos was really NOT good. I did not expected much from my cheapo camera and prepared my mind for it once I made an order, but still if I can turn back the clock, I would save that $40 to top off some better budget digital cameras out there.

I knew well before I purchased the camera that it does not have the LCD to preview the picture before actually taken. Again, I prepare my mind for that when I placed an order. But when I really use the camera, still that's hurt! It is too annoying...especially "a lot" of times when the pictures were taken (indoor photos, especially) and I only found they are really bad ones only when they were shown on computer screen and you have to re-take the pictures all over again... 😱(

I am not sure what cause this, but "a lot" of time then the photos were taken indoor (some sort of low ligth) and the flash is used, still he pictures were very dark. I think the camera flash is not useful. It's there for you (flash), but nt help to increase the picture quality. The quality of the photos outdoor (medium level or lots of light) is OK. though.

Bottom line: Not recommened. Wait until Largan put out a better camera model would probably be better choice. Or, if in need now for a toy (really a "toy&quot😉 for kids, that is then probably a nice choice.

Just to share my experiences with this camera... Those words are only my humble opinion and please consider at your discretion. Peace out! 😱)

Best wishes,
AppleVision1710

I have to agree. This camera was great for one reason only - to show me how neat and useful digital photography can be. I have the completely opposite problem with my flash; if it's used indoors, the photo is way overexposed. Not too bad for out door shots and indoors w/o flash. I'm ready to move up to something real but not >$300. Guess I'll wait a bit and keep on checking out this great forum!

How about the Dlink DSC-350 instead? It is $80-$30MIR at Staples next week (Mar 18). $10 off $40 coupon brings it down to $40.

Reviews on it are pretty bad, though.

I bought this camera when it was on an earlier thread ($40). I have been very happy with it. Outdoors it takes nice pictures, even with overcast skies. Indoors too, although if closer than 5-6 feet to a person the skin tones will be overexposed. The RS-232 is a hassle, but much less than I expected. For down- (up-?) loading I use PaperPort which came with my scanner--it works much better than the software bundled with the camera. Then I use Paint Shop Pro to crop and otherwise mess with the pictures. Also, the included battery lasted for well over 100 pictures. The replacement battery cost c. $6.50 at WalMart, $10.50 for two. I would pay a little more for USB, but not much. And several of the 640x480 cameras I've seen for under $100 don't have flash (a must).

If you want to see pictures taken with it, go here.

Instaler...the uncropped pics do not look to bad...neither do the cropped...not too bad for the price....nice find jumpondeals!

If your looking for a camera to put a dinky picture on a web page these cameras are fine but if your looking to buy a good camera and willing to spend $400 check out the thread on the Kodak DC4800 Camera.
It's a lot more but its well worth the money. If your looking for a basic digital camera the Largan for $44 isn't all that bad.

I bought this camera quite awhile back for $80 from buy.com and think
it's a helluva deal for the price. I think they bundle new software with
it now. I sure second the statement that's it's snail slow downloading to PC. Outdoor pics are fantastic for the price - just my $.02

Also, Compusa.com has it on sale for $60 with $20 rebate.

Compusa.com Largan page

Alas, rebate is compusa.com-specific, and the shipping will make the deal worse than $44. Still, if there is something else that looks good at compusa.com site (so that you are ordering it and paying shipping anyway), then the deal might be worth it.
