I've always liked their sunglasses, and I used to own a couple pairs, but I REALLY admired Oakley for what they did for Lance Armstrong, when he was diagnosed for cancer. Oakley was one of his sponsors, but when Lance's team cancelled his contract, he found out he didn't have health insurance, and was about to face cancer treatment out of pocket. Oakley pulled some strings, and put him on the books as an employee of some sort, and gave him the same health insurance that all Oakley employees get, and they did that KNOWING HE HAD CANCER! That is class; to not hang one of your athletes out to dry like his team did when they cancelled his contract after he announced he had the big "C". I also wear a Giro helmet because they honored Lance's full contract, even though he couldn't hold up his end of the contract, only had a 50/50 chance to live, and a 0% chance of racing again. Oakley and Giro have integrity and IMHO that's worth a little extra $$$ from me.
