Very hot celeron D prescott core??

I have a celeron D running at stock settings across the board and temps are getting up to 80* while running prime.

Thermal shutoff happens, but is this reading wrong. There are NO errors or lockups before the system automatically shuts off. The HSF is getting warm to the touch so it seems like there is good contact.

Here are the specs:

Soyo Dragon 2 I865pe
Celeron D 3XX?? runs at 2.5 ghz
1g ram
TT 430 PurePower PSU
Radeon 9800pro

anyone help? thanks.

Maybe Soyo spies tried to learn from Abit and think high temps = proper reading? Dunno, is the thermal shutoff happening because of a BIOS setting? If so, raise or disable that setting and try again. IIRC the Prescott core can handle 90ºC operational temps and 110ºC before thermal failure.
