Hi,
I am having a small problem. I just switched case, from a cheap one to a high quality Antec sx830. When I startded it up, with all 4 fans running, the MB temp is very high, higher than with the cheap case and one fan running. In my old case the MB temp was about 25-30*C and in my brand new Antec its 35-50*Cdepending on how many casefans i run (0 to 4 fans). WHY!I didnt do anything, I just moved all my gear to a new box. Pleas Help me!
Im running my rig on a CUSL-2.

One more thing, the CPU temp is lower, about 28*C to 40*C, and the ambient room temerature is about 24*C. Even if the door is open the case temp is higher than room temp. Would apeciate some help or information.

what bios rev are you using and temp monitor? your temps aren't unusually out of spec, i wouldn't sweat about it so much.

Odd that your cpu temp is lower than your case temp, probe maybe?

I have a similar setup, but with an Elan Vital T-10 case. My MB is consistently running at 23c. The CPU, OTOH, runs up to 45c when maxed out, but then, I'm using the stock Intel hs/f. Guess you need a higher quality case ;-)

I think you are getting faulty readings I have the SX830 with the front two fans as intakes and the back two has exhaust and my case temps are the same as ambeint room temp which right now is 23c. The only other thing I can think of is if your ribbon cables are blocking the air flow.
