i just sold my FX-51 cpu on ebay, with SK8N and 1GB ECC ram. all for 415. i was either going to buy a 3.2EE/3.4EE for my shuttle im trying to build. now that i think of it...dual cores are right around the corner. i do have a 3.4E, but see the thing is 3.4EE is like...what 5fps better? i was thinking rip off eh? so should i get like a FX-53 939, or just wait for the Intel dual cores to come out?

Wait for dual core if you have something decent to hold you over. As for intel or AMD, I'd tend to go AMD. Not because im a fanboy, not because the performance is earth shattering, but because they run cooler

Do you already have applications that take advantage of dual core multithreading? If not and you are more a gamer, you will see very little benefit from dual cores for at least another year.
