Very happy with my new scanner - Canoscan 4200F.

Since I just got in on the Lexmark 232 deal and now have a screaming fast printer I figured it was time to update the scanner since my Epson Perfection 1260 was pretty slow. The canoscan 4200F was recommended and MAN is this thing fast. Preview in about 3 seconds and cranks out a copy in about 10 seconds. Since I mostly use my scanner for making copies, speed was the main issue and this scanner is just awesome there. Quiet too. $99 at Staples - highly recommended.

Maybe time to upgrade my 7 year old HP Scanjet 6100C (SCSI).

BTW, Newegg has them for $83.25 + 0.99 shipping, no tax.

Yeah, well I really wanted a laser all in one - i hate inkjets - but the laser all in ones are still pretty expensive and the functionality on each component is still subpar compared to separates. And for $99 the Lexmark is an awesome printer. Fisrt page practically spits out before your finger is off the mouse buttone from clicking "print."
