Very funny

The machine sells both 20oz sodas and canned sodas. I wanted a diet pepsi. The diet pepsi's only come in 20oz which are $1.10. All I have is a buck. My other option is to get a canned regular pepsi for $0.60. I get the damn canned regular pepsi for $0.60. My change comes out. I grab the change, and the machine gives me $0.50.

Ah, forget it

Yeah, obviously the machine only charges 50¢ for it. So buy another, and you get 24oz for $1, instead of a 20oz bottle for $1.10.

No, the machine charges $0.60 for canned sodas. It made a mistake and gave me an extra $0.10 back already after I bought the damned canned regular pepsi.

Dude! That sounds exactly like the soda machines where I work. Do we work in the same building?! --*insert twilight zone music here*--

LOL, mental image of you going apesh1t at the machine and your co-workers finding the machine on top of you, your arms and legs splayed, one hand clutching a 20oz bottle, the other thrusted upwards in a victory salute 😀

Bum a dime off a friend and pay it back later.

I had a 20 dollar bill and a 1 dollar bill. Im gonna have to keep a little jar of dimes in my office so that this doesnt happen again.

Maybe the machine didn't have enough small change to give you forty cents, so it gave you two quarters instead. If the larger sodas are $1.10, its gonna run out of small change fast.

Be glad it didn't short you.

man, I stood there for a few seconds and just looked at the damn machine like "you're kidding me right"

I was waiting for Ashton Kutcher and a camera crew to pop out of the wall and start laughing at me.

a machine will accept exact change only if there is a chance it cannot make change.

Or, the person who last maintained the machine saw that there wasn't enough change, and programmed it to charge fifty cents for the cans.

There's actually a hack out there. If the coke machine is set to default then you can press the drink selection buttons in a certain order to enter the menu/pricing system, then you can reset the prices to whatever. I've "seen" this work a few times 😉. Paying for drinks is soooooo 2006.

No, vending machines do not make errors. Either someone left 10¢ in the change thing, or someone put in a dime and walked away, or the 60¢ sticker is wrong, and it's really 50¢.

Machines at work charge only 25 cents a can 😀 🙂 Sucks to be you, but please.. dont' be one of the few people every year who dies from vending machines falling on them.

hahaha, what do you mean they don't make errors?

Watch out guys, in ten years, all minimum wage jobs will be replaced by vending machines.
