Hey there. I had this problem several months ago, and I can't for the life of me remember what I did to fix it (or even if I did fix it at all - maybe it just went away...)

Essentially, there is a website that I frequent. Within that site, there are certain links that I click on... that immediately after the page fully loads (quite fast - cable modem), the browser simply closes completely and throws me to my desktop. No error messsages, no warning, no nothing. And it's like clockwork. It has happened everytime that I have visited these specific links tonight. To make sure that it wasn't some odd fault of the website's, I opened them up on a different computer and they open fine.

I have emptied my cache, deleted cookies... restarted... etc... The basic remedies aren't working. Is anyone familiar with this problem? It's overly frustrating to not be able to look at certain pages.

I am running Win ME, with IE 6.0.

Thanks in advance!

Have you tried scanning your computer for Spyware/Adware?
These can cause internet crashing and non-responsiveness.
Go to www.lavasoftusa.com and download Adaware program. Be sure to also get the
refudate utility to update the program. Scan your computer and delete anything found.
Reboot the pc and try again ;)
