I've never had dry skin until this week my hands are almost starting to peel. I've tried Aloe and a few facial moisturizers but my hands are still rough(although they smell nice) any suggestions?

Corn Huskers Lotion - you can find it in any drugstore. Doesn't smell great, but if you put it on at night your hands will be in great shape by morning. I rub some on my hands before bed and reapply it in the morning after my shower.

its a quick and cheap two step program:

step 1: take a tablespoon of olive oil and mix with two tablespoons of sugar. combind and rub over your hands for one minute. Then rinse off. pat dry

Step 2: use vasoline combind with any lotion you have.

I would do this before going to bed. :)

Interesting - I've used a salt scrub before that took all the dead dry skin off my hands - it seems as though this would do much the same thing, only without the sting of literally rubbing salt into my wounds. :)

You could always move to an island and your dry hand problem will be fixed. :p

Back when I lived on Oahu, my hands and skin never got dry or ashy. Must have been the humidity. Here in the desert, my hands are always super dry and the skin cracking and ashy.

Drink more water also (64+oz/day). It'll probably help more than you think. :)

I personally reccomend Eucerin twice a day. I had the same problem on my legs to the point they itched so bad I would scrath them raw :( Now my skin (feet too!) are soft as a baby's butt :) It is the most recommended by dermotologists also.

I use Lubiderm Oatmeal lotion twice a day over my entire body, and Aveeno Foot cream on my feet at night. I never have dry skin except, ironically, at this precise moment I'm posting. Wierd.

I drink about 24 oz of water every hour so its not a lack of water. Its just shown up this week. There are some good suggestions here that I'll look into. For all those with dirty minds I expected more people like you but that wasnt what I was going for.

Ugh...I hate that crap. I have some in my backpack for emergencies, but it leaves my hands so greasy that they slide down the side of my pen when I'm trying to write. :|

Nivea has got some good stuff. Lubriderm as well. Get something with mineral oil in it and that should tidy you up pretty good.

Dirty minds?

I used to have dry/chapped lips all the time - started drinking a lot of water and it's not so bad anymore..no offense implied - just trying to help. :)

Really? I just let it dry for a few seconds with no problems.

You have two lotion factories working 24/7 in your underoos.

It's free and fun to moisturize that way. [/quote]
