Hi all, i could do with some advice. i am surposed to be running crossfire but when i ran the burn in test it shows that one of my pciex x16 slots is still avalible. even when CF is enabled. or not. how do i find out if i am really running in CF. hardware monitor says both cards are in the slots.

also i can not run any of the 3dmark programmes either with CF enabled or disabled. they just freeze at the loadup screen.

finally, whats the differance with CF oringinal and 2 if any?

thanks for any help. the below rig is only 2 weeks old.

"Q: I just bought the ATI Radeon HD 2900XT and 3DMark06 freezes during the splash-screen. What is wrong and how can I fix this?

A: This is a known issue and we have been able to reproduce it in our test lab. The problem lays in an DLL which we use to detect the graphics cards' core and memory speeds. We are working on an update to correct this issue after which all Futuremark benchmarks should run fine with the latest offerings from all IHV's. Until then you can work around this issue either by renaming the "Direcpll.dll" file (found in %WINDIR%\system32\Futuremark\MSC\) to something else, or you can run the benchmark using the -nosysteminfo command line. Please note that if you use the -nosysteminfo command line, you will not be able to publish the result online. Futuremark will inform all its users when the update is available!"

Thats what you see on the page ? Try reading and executing it ;)

I found the file within mere seconds. Did you hide your windows files? Did you try adding -nosysteminfo command line in the .exe file from futuremark? Do you know how to, or what I mean? It should be fairly simple ^^ Anyways, good luck.

It's simply your windows container, then system32, then you see a container futuremark, with the file in it you have to rename.
