That's something a lot of folks overlook and then run into trouble. It's always good to do a good, clean install of Windows after a major component change...

In general, if you change chipsets ie... via, nforce, sis, you will definately need to re-install your operating system. Say going from one kt266 board to another will more than likely not require re-installation.
