Very Bad CD-Burner Problems!!

Blurry

Senior member
Ok, I have a very bad cd burning problem on one of my rigs. Currently, the burner works fine copying stuff off of the Hard drive to the cd, but when I try a cd copy (cd drive to cd burner..in my case Dvd-rom to cd-burner) it always fails. I get things up to 6% and it stops, and crashes. I need to fix this problem ASAP. Any suggestions?

check you burning sofware for a disk to disk option that has a check box for make a temp image on the hard drive and burn from there, it sounds like your dvd isn't keeping pace with the burner

Try switching the arrangment of the drives on your system. switch from slave to master and from primary to secondary. See what works best.

What I don't get is how my DVD drive isn't keeping up. The DVD drive reads CD's at 40X and the burner burns only at 8X. I never had this problem beforce i switched hard drives.
